As the UK celebrates the Royal birth of William and Kate’s first son, advertisers have the opportunity to put the
flexibility of digital screens to good use! The Sun runs today a tactical campaign across
JCDecaux’s Transvision rail screens, showing a crowned baby surrounded by 4 other celebrity babies dressed up like their mum and dad. The punch line of the campaign reads “
Your Royal Highness, Meet your fellow future rulers of the world”.
It is not the first time that digital flexibility is used for a national event. In 2010,
JCDecaux’s PrimeTime screens had been used by Hello! Magazine to spontaneously announce the publication of a “Souvenir Edition” to congratulate the couple after they officially got engaged.
