Paris, May 20, 2005 – JCDecaux SA(Euronext Paris: DEC), the European market leader in outdoor advertising and the second largest player worldwide, has announced that the Velo'v self-service bicycle hire scheme launched yesterday in Lyons and Villeurbanne is temporarily unavailable. Owing to the immense interest generated by the launch of this new scheme and the large number of residents of the Greater Lyons region who wanted to try this new service immediately, the computer system parameterized for a lower daily demand was overwhelmed by the tremendous surge in requests, obliging JCDecaux to reconfigure the entire system. A forthcoming press release will specify the date at which this self-service bicycle hire scheme will once again be available to the public.
