Cyclocity, a subsidiary of JCDecaux dedicated to self-service bike rental, announces that it has signed a unanimous agreement with Smovengo and the representatives of Cyclocity trade union organisations - CGT, Sud Solidaires and CFDT - enabling all voluntary departures to retain a job within the activity dedicated to Vélib’ under equivalent wage and benefit terms and conditions.
Cyclocity and Smovengo are committed to putting an end to a difficult period of uncertainty for Cyclocity employees and have agreed on the terms and conditions for a rapid and transparent external reclassification. They are supported in their actions by the "Autolib’ Vélib’ Métropole" trade union and the Paris City Hall.
The system for external reclassification will be presented to Cyclocity employees this week for hearings scheduled to take place from mid-December. This system guarantees them a stable and long-term job, under comparable working and wage conditions to their current ones. It is an opportunity to promote the experience and expertise that they have acquired over the last few years, under an ambitious and long-term project (15 years).
Employees not wishing to pursue this activity will benefit from a PSE (Employment Protection Plan) whose terms and conditions, concluded unanimously between Cyclocity and all the representative trade union organisations, are currently being approved by the DIRECCTE.
Cyclocity, which has always put jobs at the heart of its concerns, is pleased that a solution has been found and that these agreements offer employees a specific and concerted framework between all the stakeholders on the terms and conditions both for their reclassification at Smovengo and their departure from Cyclocity.
