JCDecaux Group wins Madrid newsstands concession El Mobiliario Urbano S.A., a Spanish subsidary of the JCDecaux Group, has won the newsstands concession for Madrid. The Association of Professional Press Vendors of Madrid is entrusting the renovation and advertising operation of its 720 newsstands, with 2,160 advertising spaces, to the JCDecaux Group. The concession covers a period of 15 years, with 3 extensions of 5 years, for a total duration of 30 years. Projected total sales for the first 15 years is 521,000 French francs (79,400 euro). Advertising operation of the 720 newsstands currently in place will begin in January 2001. These will be progressively replaced by a new generation of newsstands.
