According to eMarketer’s latest forecast, total adspend for 2013 in Latin America is expected to increase by +7.5% to $37bn, with Brazil accounting for 54.6% as it gears up for the World Cup in 2014.
Brazil should experience a +9% rise in advertising expenditure in 2013 and will continue to be the main driver of growth for the continent up to 2017, when its share of total advertising expenditure will reach 56.8%.
Digital adspend in Latin America is also meant to grow fast, up +21.5% in 2013 to a total of $4.1bn. Once again, Brazil is expected to be the main driver for the region, accounting for 60.1% of the total digital adspend.
Total Digital Adspend for the Latin America region is predicted to double to $8.3bn by 2017.
