The trend of showcasing art pieces on Out-of-Home panels is catching on, as Paris joins
a string of cities where
art has gone outdoors this summer.
There is a certain
je ne sais quoi about Paris and their inhabitants, and countless films, art and music have endeavoured to capture this special essence. So who better than the Parisians themselves to illustrate the art of being one!
Les Parisiens takes a witty look at particular idiosyncrasies of the city’s dwellers. All illustrations were done by Kanako in collaboration with a writer called Amandine. Both are Parisians and enthusiastic observers of daily behaviour in the capital.
Beginning 7th August and lasting for the month of August, the illustrations are featured on over 1,000 Outdoor sites in 3 neighbourhoods: Barbès, Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Champs-Elysées.
The exhibition was the brainchild of Paris City Hall, publisher
Editions du Chêne and the creative team of
My Little Paris.
