Listing of JCDecaux Group on Paris Stock Market

The JCDecaux Group intends to list on the stock market and open up its capital to its employees, the public and international investors. This operation will enable it to accelerate its rate of growth internationally and will give it the means to involve its employees more directly in its development. As a private company belonging to and managed by its founder, Jean-Claude Decaux, and his two sons, Jean-François and Jean-Charles, the JCDecaux Group is currently one of the largest Outdoor Advertising companies in the world with a consolidated turnover in 1999 of 1.2 billion euros - 7.9 billion francs (*). The Group has 460 000 advertising faces in 33 countries. It is: world n°1 for urban street furniture with exclusive concessions in 1 300 towns and cities, world n°1 for airport advertising with contracts for 155 airports and underground stations, European n°1 for billboards and n°1 in the USA for advertising in shopping centres. The timetable of the operation has not yet been decided as the aim is to list as soon as possible, subject to market conditions. A listing on the Paris Stock Market is currently envisaged through a public offer, together with distribution to international institutional investors. JCDecaux SA has authorised Goldman Sachs International to act as overall co-ordinator and exclusive lead manager for the operation.
