ANA-Aéroportos de Portugal, the Portuguese airports operator, has renewed its contract with AP Systèmes, which is part of the JCDecaux Out of Home Media Group, specialising in airport advertising, for a term of 7 years, effective 1 January 2001.
The JCDecaux Group has been working in close cooperation with ANA on the development of advertising activities at national level in Lisbon, Porto, Faro and the Azores.
The JCDecaux Group plans to introduce new street furniture and new technology both inside and outside the airports. JCDecaux is to install and develop over 500 advertising displays with a turnover of around 300 million francs (45 million Euro) during the contractual term.
The JCDecaux Group is also active in the two airports in Madeira, guaranteeing exclusive control of the advertising concessions in Portugal's international airports, with an annual traffic volume of over 18 million passengers.
Jean-Charles Decaux, C0-Chief Executive of the Group, commented "This follows our win in Stockholm and a stake in Frankfurt Airport and demonstrates JCDecaux's ability to develop longer-term partnerships with airport authorities".
