Paris, May 12, 2011 – The combined annual general meeting of JCDecaux SA (Euronext Paris: DEC) was held on May 11, 2011.
At the meeting, Monique Cohen was appointed as an independent member of the Supervisory Board and was also made a member of the Audit Committee of JCDecaux SA.
Monique Cohen (55), who graduated from Ecole Polytechnique (1976) and holds a Master’s degree in mathematics and a degree in business law, began her career in Banque Paribas where she held various positions in mergers & acquisitions and capital market activities.
In 1999, she was appointed world manager of the equities business division and a member of the Management Committee of Paribas, holding the same responsibilities within BNP Paribas.
Monique Cohen joined Apax Partners in 2000 as an Executive Partner responsible for equity investments in the Business and Financial Services sector.
Since January 2006, she has also been a member of the European Commission Expert Group on private equity and venture capital.
Jean-Claude Decaux, founder of JCDecaux and Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said: “I am delighted that Monique Cohen is joining our Board. I believe that her valuable experience will make her a great asset to the Supervisory Board at JCDecaux.”
Both Jean-François Decaux and Jean-Charles Decaux use the title of co-CEO of JCDecaux for business and public relations purposes.
